Hi everyone, I'm new here. My kids just love the show and now I'm getting into it too. Could someone explain why Ryder seems to be the only one without a pup-tag? Sorry if it's a dumb question 😅

Haha, are you suggesting Ryder needs to call himself for help? 😆 But really, it'd be weird if he called himself on his own pup-tag, right? He's basically the head honcho, command central, the one who knows all and sees all till the pups save the day!

Welcome! Ryder's role is purely coordinative and instructive. He plots out the rescue plans, supplies the pups with information, and monitors their progress. The pup-tags’ primary function is to facilitate this communication flow from Ryder to the pups. Essentially, Ryder is like the quarterback of the team while the pups are the players executing the plays.

lol, I asked the same thing to my husband after watching like 50 episodes with our kids. He just rolled his eyes at me 🤣. Pretty sure it's b/c Ryder is supposed to be the boss. He organizes everything and doesn't do the rescues himself. The pups are the real heroes, I guess.

So basically Ryder is the leader and the founder of the PAW Patrol. The pup-tags are a way for the pups to communicate with him and each other, fire up their vehicles, or use their special tools. Ryder doesn't need a pup-tag since he's the one giving the orders and he’s got all his tech in the Lookout. He’s like the ultimate multitasker of Adventure Bay!

Hey, no question is dumb here, we all started somewhere! Ryder doesn’t have a pup-tag because he’s the one who issues the commands and calls the pups when they're needed, rather than being on the receiving end of calls for help 📞! Think of him as mission control, haha.
