Longtime lurker here, I finally mustered up the courage to post something! Spent the whole weekend sketching and coloring my attempt at drawing Zuma (fav pup btw). No scanner, so no pics to share, but I'm pretty proud of it. Hope one day I can show off my work to y'all. Artistic tips welcome!

Congrats on finishing your first Zuma! For coloring, did you use pencils or markers? Each has its own tricks, like layering colors with pencils can give you cool effects. And don't worry about no scanner, snapping a pic with your phone works. Make sure you don't cast a shadow over it!

Wanna share but got no scanner? No prob! There are some cool apps that let you scan drawings with your phone. Look up 'photo scan apps' on your app store. They work pretty well. Also, you might want to try digital art. There's decent free software out there, like Krita or GIMP, and you can share your creations super easy.

No pics? That's a bummer. If you want crits and tips, you gotta show your work. Try taking a pic with your phone next time. Anyway, for Zuma, getting his proportions right is key—make sure his pup pack isn't too big on his back. Check the show for reference.

Drawing Zuma, huh? Nice choice, his design is fun to work with. So, no scanner—do you have a decent camera on your phone? Natural light works best if you're taking a photo of your drawing. And for the artistic side of things, pay attention to the reflections in Zuma's goggles, it's a cool detail to nail for extra realism. Keep experimenting with shades and textures especially for his fur, brings out a ton of character!
