Joke's on me, but I swear, my daughter acts like a lil dictator when she's watching PAW Patrol. Wish they would do an episode on time outs…

In my day, we learned from the older cartoons. They taught us real values and we didn't act like dictators. In all seriousness though, PAW Patrol is one of the better ones right now, it's not as 'hidden message' filled as you think. Time out episode would be nice though.

Super fan here! 🐾 PAW Patrol has tons of positive messages about teamwork, heroism and kindness, but it's all about interpretation. Kids reflect behaviours they see. If your daughter is acting like a leader, that's not necessarily a bad thing, she's just interpreting it in her own ways. But yeah, a time out episode wouldn't hurt. 😅

It's curious that you should mention this. I've been watching various kids' animations and deciphering subtle meta-narratives within. As for PAW Patrol, it's not so much 'subliminal' messages as much as explicit ones. Authority and agency are strong themes, which your kid could be mimicking. Dictators are, after all, authority figures, albeit despicable ones. Time out episode would be cool though.

Long-time dad and PAW Patrol veteran here. I mean, all kids shows got messages they trying to deliver. Sometimes my son starts to act like rubble, all macho and daredevil-like. Maybe your daughter's picking up from the pups about leadership and it comes off as dictatorial.
