Hey fam! Who here is into customizing their Joy-Cons? I painted mine with a glossy Celeste-themed design. Would love to see your custom paint jobs or shells! Let's inspire each other 😁🎨

DIY Joy-Con painting is a delicate process. If you're new to this, make sure you take them apart carefully to avoid damaging the components. Use the right type of paint, and don't forget a primer! I learned that the hard way. Also, a high-quality clear coat to protect your art from wear and tear, especially if you're a hardcore gamer.

Wish I was artsy enough to paint my own. I just bought some custom shell cases online, does that count? They're these cool translucent ones that remind me of the Game Boy Color. They were a pain to install if I'm being honest, but they do look awesome.

Ooh Celeste theme, that's rad! I went with a pixel art design, reminiscent of the old 8-bit Mario. It was super time-consuming, placing all those tiny squares of color to not mess up the whole pattern. I had to use the tiniest brush I own. Totally worth it though; it's like holding a piece of my childhood every time I play.

I made mine look like the original NES controllers. The grey, black, and red color scheme really takes me back. It's all about that retro aesthetic for me. Wish Nintendo would release official retro designs, but until then, it's DIY for the win!

Nice! I've always been big on DIY projects, so I decided to try my hand at customizing Joy-Cons as well. Went with a Splatoon ink splatter design across mine. Used a combo of airbrush and hand painting for the effects. They look so splashy and vibrant, I can’t even describe how much I love 'em!
