Project Sora

This was a small division of Sora which was itself owned by Nintendo. Their only goal was to produce and distribute Kid Icarus: Uprising and then close down after game development ended in 2012.

Not sure why everyone's so hyped about Project Sora. Kid Icarus was ok, but nothing too groundbreaking if you ask me. Controls were a pain too IMO. Could've seen the team try something new if they stayed, but oh well.

I’ve always been intrigued by the way they used the hardware capabilities of the 3DS at Project Sora. Kid Icarus: Uprising's graphics and 3D effects were really ahead of their time. It’s a shame the team didn’t get to work on more projects – who knows what other technical marvels they could’ve pulled off!

Yep, still got my limited edition Kid Icarus: Uprising AR Cards from Project Sora laying around. That game was a labor of love and it's a shame they disbanded after. They definitely had potential to create more awesome games.

Hey, so I just got into Nintendo games, and I've heard a bit about Kid Icarus: Uprising. Was it really so good that it warranted an entire division? I've gotta check this out!

Ugh, they really should bring back Kid Icarus again, and I mean with the SAME level of detail and care. Project Sora nailed the controls, the story, and the multiplayer. I play it still on my 3DS! We need a sequel!!!

It's fascinating how Nintendo handles its development teams. Project Sora was essentially a task force dedicated to a single vision - Kid Icarus: Uprising. Their model shows how focused development teams can produce brilliant results under the right circumstances. The level of polish and care in that game was stellar. Makes you appreciate the unique approach Nintendo often takes in the gaming industry.

Still can't get over how amazing Kid Icarus: Uprising was. Can't believe Project Sora was a one-hit wonder with such a gem. Wish they would've stuck around for more epic titles!
