Dragon Tales - Why So Dark?

1st time here. Used to love Dragon Tales till I came across 'The Big Sleepover' episode. Deciding to help a young dragon overcome his fear by staying overnight in the dark forest? Dude, that's just wrong. Really messed me up as a kid.

Oh boo hoo, a dragon in a dark forest. Read a Stephen King book, it'll toughen you up.

Just joined here. Why are all these old shows so damn creepy? I mean...weird things in kid's bedroom, dark forests. Weren't they supposed to be, ya know, for kids?

And that eerie music...ugh!! They could have surely used a better and less terrifying way to discuss fears. Not cool Dragon Tales, not cool.

Haha... Dragon Tales, teaching us that creeping out children is perfectly fine since 1999. That show's got layers... like an onion, or maybe an ogre...

They had to put messages and warnings in cartoons those days. Dark Forest was just a symbolism of facing the dangerous adult world. Scary, huh? That’s life, buddy.

See, you’re missing the main point. They weren't exactly ‘helping’ him. Instead, the creators used the Dark Forest metaphor for overcoming internal fears. Yes, it's creepy but it also has some depth to it if you think about it.

OMG, yes!!! That episode was way darker than it had any right to be. Seriously, no need to traumatize us like that, Dragon Tales. 😆
