Oh, my kids used to watch Barney all the time but I don't remember any episode like that. An episode with BJ having a nightmare? That doesn't sound very Nick Jr.-ish to me, lol.

Long time lurker, first time commenter. That episode you're thinking of might not exist. There are some episodes that have been misremembered or amalgamated in fans' memories. It's possible the episode you're thinking of is one of these.

New to the subreddit, but I used to watch Barney a lot as a kid. Don't remember anything about BJ having a nightmare with clowns though. Maybe it was another show?

lol I remember that one! Scared the crap out of me as a kid. I definitely remember it though, so you're not alone. Don't know where to find it, sorry. YouTube's a crapshoot with old episodes.

Hey, I think I remember that episode, it was some sorta weird dream sequence. BJ freaks out, starts seeing everyone as clowns, right? Creepy as all get out. Not sure why they thought that was a good idea for a kids' show. Anyway, it's hard to find individual episodes on YouTube, licensing and stuff. You might have better luck with one of those DVD box sets, or on streaming sites. Keep lookin'!
