I'm kinda new here... what's the big deal with updates getting delayed? Is it really that bad?

Delays are part of the development process. While it can certainly be disappointing, it's preferable to have a smooth, well-tested update rather than one that breaks the game or introduces unexpected problems. Let's all try to be patient while the developers work things out.
