Contamination levels are no joke!

Friends, we gotta talk about the air pollution. We're often on 'precontingencia ambiental,' and I feel we just ignore it till it gets really bad. Makes me wonder if we shouldn't do something as a community. More biking, carpooling, or something? What do you think?

You're right on the money. The issue is also about urban planning i.e., more compact city designs, mixed-use developments, reducing the need for long commutes. It’s important to include city planning when discussing air quality—less commute means less pollution.

Issues like air pollution need a combination of personal action and policy change. Personal changes are a start, but without pushing our city reps for systematic changes, it's a band-aid on a bullet wound. Support sustainable transport policies, advocate for renewable energy, and vote responsibly.

Just wear gas masks lol, we can make it a new fashion trend. 😂

Apps can help too! Like ones that show real-time air quality so we can plan outdoor activities better. Also, what about hackathons for developing eco-friendly tech solutions? That could engage the tech community here in CDMX.

New to the city and still figuring things out. I heard about the Hoy No Circula program. Does that help at all? Maybe stricter policies on that could work.

Air pollution is a serious public health issue! We should organize neighborhood tree-planting. They absorb CO2 & beautify the area. Also, who’s up for a petition to expand green spaces?

ugh tell me about it, my eyes burn on bad days. Carpool sound good but it’s a hustle with everyone’s different schedules. Maybe the city should invest in cleaner buses or something. idk.

Totally with you on this. Biking more could really make a difference. There are some great Ciclovía routes that are underused. If more of us start pedaling, could also pressure the gov to improve the bike infra!
