Anyone remember 'Space Pirates'? It was this quirky Saturday morning cartoon that aired for like a season back in '92 or '93. The main character had this cool laser grappling hook and I think his sidekick was a talking spaceship? It's like it vanished without a trace, can't find clips or even mentions of it online. If anyone has recordings or even remembers it, would love to get a nostalgia hit!

'Space Pirates,' interesting case. Pre-digital, so it lives in the purgatory of '90s shows. I specialize in digitizing old VHS tapes; haven’t come across it yet, but I’ve seen stranger series resurface. There's a decent chance someone out there has a dusty tape with episodes recorded. Patience and networking with other collectors will be key. Also check out eBay, sometimes tapes show up labeled as 'misc. recordings' or similar.

Such a classic, 'Space Pirates' was indeed real! I have a couple of old TV guides listing it, but sadly none of the episodes. It's a collector's nightmare when you know something exists but can't get your hands on it. I'll keep an eye out at swap meets, and if I come across any recordings, I'll definitely let the community know!

I recall 'Space Pirates' quite well; it's a hidden gem of its time. Unfortunately, like many short-lived series from the early '90s, it suffered from poor archival practices. The talking spaceship was named 'Nova,' I believe. I've been hunting for this series for ages—no official releases exist as far as I'm aware. The best bet for finding any footage would be recording trades from old cartoon enthusiasts who taped it back in the day. These were typically saved on VHS and are often traded at conventions or found in online communities.

wow, 'Space Pirates' totally rings a bell! I remember catching a few episodes before school. Never saw the whole thing tho. The laser grappling hook was dope, I actually tried to make one out of a yo-yo and some LEDs lol. No luck finding it anywhere either. 🚀👾
