Good news, lost media enthusiasts! Just unearthed a sealed VHS of 'The Enchanted Forest', that weird puppet show from the late 80s with folk tales and whatnot. Never made it to DVD and isn't streaming ANYWHERE. Planning a digitizing session soon. If you're interested in a copy or can point me to others who might be, hmu.

Hmm, I'll believe it when I see it. A lot of these 'finds' turn out to be someone misremembering or confusing titles. Got any pics of the VHS cover? The real McCoy has that distinct artwork. Would also be cool to know how you stumbled upon this.

THE ENCHANTED FOREST?! Say less, I'm all over this. That show was the coolest and creepiest thing ever. That episode with the talking trees, WOW. I've been on a mission to show my friends what real kids' programming was like before everything went CGI. I'm def interested in getting a copy, and I might know others who would be too. We should start a whole tape trading ring – the old-school Netflix, y'know?

hey, awesome find. 'The Enchanted Forest' was seriously underrated. pretty unique puppet designs if memory serves. i think the show was by that offbeat production company that folded in the early 90s, what was it, Wimsical Productions or something? they had a rep for being a bit avant-garde for the kiddie crowd. i'm into film and tv production history, so a digitized version would be super helpful for my research. got any details on the condition of the tape? how about the playback equipment u plan to use for digitizing? thx!

Keep it sealed! Sealed tapes from that era are gems. Seriously, even if they're not mainstream, the value increases when it's untouched. And with digitization, aren't you worried about losing the original quality, that grainy, warm VHS feel? I mean, it's your tape, but consider the collector's angle here.

Oh wow, 'The Enchanted Forest' takes me back! I so remember watching those puppets and getting totally absorbed in the stories. My siblings and I would reenact them, had our own make-believe puppets and all. I've got a little nephew who's super into folktale stuff, so I'd love to show him what his old uncle used to watch. Count me in for a copy. Can't wait to see it digital!
