Watershed blocks? More like firewet blocks! This type sucks!
This type refers to a block that usually airs at nighttime, especially on kids channels, to air explicit adult shows. Most of them are very explicit, and they even have the guts to air at late night when kids are sleeping! Heck, even Nick Jr. got affected by 1 block called NickMom, which aired very explicit programming like Night Out and What Was Carol Brady Thinking?. Thank goodness it got cancelled in 2015!
However, Nick@Nite is a watershed block, except that it airs classic programming still made for family audiences. And [as] manages to air slightly mature content. However, BabyFirstTV and BabyTV manage to air lullabies instead of switching to adult content, which is great enough.
Watershed blocks suck. And so do kids shows.

Nick@Nite is the exception, isn't it? Classic, timeless shows that are a delight at any age – I’m a fan. Different story than those racy NickMom shows, eh. Makes you wonder if network execs even consider the heritage of their channels anymore. I wanna see a return to those family-friendly retro vibes, not these weird adult-only twists after hours.

Here’s a thought - what if these watershed blocks are a way to condition parents to use the TV as a 24/7 babysitter? Gets 'em reliant on the screen during the day, and then when it switches up at night, it's too late. They're hooked, and the kid's schedule is synced to the tube. Sketchy, if you ask me!

Haha, remember stumbling onto NickMom when flipping channels late one night - talk about a shocker! Wasn’t ready for THAT on a kids channel. 😆 Still, think it's cool to have variety, as long as they keep adult and kiddo stuff clearly separate. But gotta admit, some of those shows were wild for Nick!

Completely agree. The idea that these adult-themed shows air on channels that children frequently watch during the day is irresponsible. As parents, we have to be vigilant to ensure our kids don't get exposed to age-inappropriate material. It's just another thing to worry about. I sincerely appreciate BabyFirstTV for keeping it family-friendly round the clock.

Man I feel ya. Grew up with Nick at Nite being the cool big kid block, actually learned to love classics there. Watershed or not, that worked. This new stuff though? Why do channels for young audiences pull this late-night scandalous switcharoo? At least stick to the roots if you're going after us grown-up nostalgics, amirite?
