I went to Kickstarter and found out "DTphone", with Donald Trump's face as the logo with a slogan: "Made by Trump". They even advertised it with deepfake AI, and even advertised the phone as having lots of features. But what I got is, yikes. A huge storm of flaws and errors.
Firstly, the UI. The UI was recycled from iPhone, and the UI even had apps that replicated the iOS apps' icons. Then, the camera. The camera didn't take good pictures, and you had to pay a $30 subscription to upgrade the camera to its latest technology, the NewLens. Also, the Internet was extremely slow, the web browser failed to load all websites (even its main default search engine, the DTSearch). Also, the memory was only 1GB, despite being advertised as 100TB. To make matters worse, there is an Always On Display that has very dull text that is hard to see because of its dark color. Also, they have built in games! Why don't you add built in Netflix, Spotify, Hulu... Then, the customer support. The emails and phone numbers are fake and invalid. Emailing dtphone@dtphone.org turns out to be a DHL delivery service. Calling the phone number turns out to be a phone number for a neighbor in Ulaanbaatar. That's all. I have to go.

I've been backing Kickstarter projects for years, and I'll tell you—this is one of the worst scams I've heard of. You should reach out to Kickstarter and report this immediately. Plus, maybe post on social to warn others. Crowdfunding can help launch great products, but also scams. Always research the creators and look for red flags before backing anything.

NewLens tech after a $30 sub? They should've called it EmptyWallet tech, right? And built-in games when you can't even load a browser, classic! Thanks for the heads up tho, I'll make sure to laugh extra hard next time I see one of these 'too good to be true' ads.

That internet speed and storage issue are completely unacceptable, and 1GB when they promised 100TB? I think everyone in this sub can learn from this. It's buyer beware on Kickstarter. Do you think you could try flashing a different ROM on it to at least make the phone usable?

Man, that sucks so much. You thought you were getting a flagship killer and ended up with this dumpster fire. I hope you can get some money back, but thanks for warning the rest of us. I'll steer clear of any 'Made by Trump' gadgets from now on, lol.

That's fraud! Big time! They totally misled you with fake ads and fake features. Do you have all the false advertising evidence? You gotta report this to Kickstarter, get this sham shut down. Don't let them get away with stealing your money! They're preying on trust, and we gotta call them out.

Ouch, that's rough. The specs sounded too wild to be real—100TB, really? Always remember, if it's too good to be true, it probably ain't true. For now, you should document everything. Screenshots, emails, the lot. If you paid by credit card, start a dispute. Crowdfunding is a minefield; got to step carefully. Hope you get your money back, or at least some justice.

Smells like a classical bait-and-switch. Bet you the DTphone guys never shipped anything but rubbish. If the customer support is non-existent and the specs are a blatant lie, it's time to talk to your payment provider about a chargeback. And maybe even hit up a consumer rights group. Sounds like you got hosed, man. Next time, maybe wait for reviews before jumping on such an iffy bandwagon.
