I think I got scammed big time!

Ordered an AI-powered cookie creator appliance which was marketed as an easy gadget. 2 years later and still no cookie creator. Ordered this via Indiegogo.

Such instances prove why real diligence is necessary with crowdfunding. Disappointing for sure, but it's a part of the process. Kinda like venture capital... but with more risk.

That's rough buddy, crowdfunding can be a real gamble sometimes. I've been in your shoes before. Probably the worst part of it is losing faith in other inventors and projects because of a few bad eggs. Don't let it get you down though, I've backed some amazing products that delivered beyond expectations! Have a dig around for some safe bet projects next time, really check out their credentials before you dive in.

Seen their campaign. Sounded too ambitious and full of hot air. Sorry for your loss mate.

Don't lose hope, sometimes they do deliver but very late. I once backed a project that delivered 3 years late, but it was worth the wait!

Hey, sorry to hear about that! You can try contacting Indiegogo about the issue directly, they may be able to assist you in some way. Also, in the future, try to fund projects that at least have a prototype available, it might decrease the chances of being scammed. Remember, if it's too good to be true, it probably is!

Yup. Same here. I was promised freshly baked cookies anytime I wanted. All I got is an increase in my calorie intake due to stress eating from waiting. Bummer!

Listen, man. You oughtta know crowdfunding ain't a guaranteed thing. Sure it sucks that this particular campaign tagline read 'that was one tasty scam!' in the end, but the key with crowdfunding is to research about the team before you pitch in your cash. Indiegogo, Kickstarter, you name it – they’re just platforms. They do try to weed out the blatantly bogus campaigns but it ain't foolproof mate. Don’t let this discourage you, though. There’re lots of legit and exciting projects out there.
