GUYS. Venus is SUPER weird. Did you know that a day on Venus (that's one full rotation on its axis) is actually longer than a year on Venus (one orbit around the sun)?! It takes about 243 Earth days for Venus to do a full spin, but only about 225 Earth days to complete an orbit around the sun. That's one looong day!

Venus is totally the planet that marches to the beat of its own drum. So one Venus day is like 243 Earth days? That's longer than an Earth year too, insane. And with that crazy greenhouse effect... no way we're colonizing Venus anytime soon, lol.

Interesting point to note - this extreme axial rotation period contributes to Venus having such a harsh environment, apart from its thick CO2 atmosphere. The slow rotation means temperature variations are extreme, disrupting atmospheric circulation and leading to complex weather patterns.

Venus's slow rotation is likely due to a phenomenon known as 'tidal locking,' a gravitational interaction with the sun. The theory suggests Venus might have rotated much faster in the distant past, but over millions of years, the sun's pull slowed it down. It’s absolutely fascinating!
