okay so today I stumbled upon something called 'point Nemo' and OMG! It's like the furthest point from land in the world’s oceans. So isolated that sometimes the closest humans are astronauts in space. Mind-blowing right?!

Visited a lot of remote places but Point Nemo is definitely on my 'probably won't make it' list. It's amazing though, to think of places on our planet that are truly untouched by human presence. It makes you realize how vast the world really is despite how crowded some places can feel.

You realize Point Nemo isn't just a graveyard for spacecraft, right? It's perfectly chosen because of its remoteness. Who knows what governments are really sinking there... Top-secret experiments? UFOs? It's the perfect cover-up spot since no one's around to see anything!

The coordinates for Point Nemo, if anyone's curious, are 48°52.6′S 123°23.6′W. The nearest lands are Ducie Island to the north, Motu Nui to the northeast, and Maher Island to the south, each over 1,670 kilometers (1,000 miles) away. These points form the vertices of the so-called Nemo Triangle. It's a unique spot on earth and definitely one of the 'lows' in terms of biosphere presence due to its extreme isolation.

Yeah, it's nuts that the closest humans are in space sometimes! Point Nemo is used as a spaceship graveyard too. Defunct spacecrafts are often targeted to re-enter and crash into the ocean around Point Nemo so that they won't risk hitting any populated areas. Kind of sci-fi and spooky if you think about it.

Point Nemo is wild, haha. it's in the South Pacific Ocean and like, no one goes there because it's so remote. Fun fact: It’s also known as the oceanic pole of inaccessibility. So not only is it far from any land, but like imagine swimming there... you'd probably meet more satellites overhead than fish!
