So, I watched Gordon Ramsay's famous scrambled eggs video about a bamillion times and decided to recreate it. Easy peasy, right? RIGHT?!
Nah mate. Above all things, it took me 4 attempts to get the butter-eggs ratio right. What I learned? 'Half of the butter' means LITERALLY half of the butter Ramsay uses unless you want an extra side of heartburn for breakfast.
Remember how creamy the scrambled eggs looked in the video? Well, that's the dream, but you won’t be living it unless you want to risk a bicep tear. Ramsay had his pan on/off the stove like some hyped-up zebra crossing - ‘cause let's be real, nobody wants overcooked eggs. If you’re not into arm day for breakfast, just stick with the version your mum taught you.
The chives? Oh boi, don’t me get started on those. Ramsay dumps a bunch of nicely cut chives towards the end, right? And they're magically integrated into the mess making it look gourmet. REALITY CHECK! Those chives clump together, forming their own independent colonies within the egg empire.
The end game? Not as smooth as butter (pun intended), but finally getting a pretty close approximation of the Ramsay-style scrambled eggs. Will I do it again? Absolutely! Did it meet my expectations? 70%, perhaps. But, hey, it's all about the cooking journey, right? #GordonRamsayVsReality
