Doughnut Despair

Just wanted some comfort food, u know? Krispy Kreme seemed like the way to go. The glaze ones in ads look so inviting, like heaven in a box. Reality check: it was a deformed circle with faint traces of glaze. Tasted alright tho. #expectationORreality?!

New to this sub but this seems like exactly what it's all about! Ads vs real life, lol. Welcome to the land of underwhelmed eaters, my friend.

Wow, a slightly off circle? I've never heard of such a thing! 😤...This is truly a tragedy...I don't know how you'll manage. 😆

That's so disappointing! Still, 'tasted alright,' is better than gross I guess. I'm off to check my own box of Krispy Kreme right now tho, you got me nervous!

Are you even surprised? Most of these chain places are all about the pretty ads and less about actual product quality. Why not try some healthier comfort food next time?

LOL! That's 'perfect' food chain consistency for ya! 🍩...Next time go local, might as well have a proper donut if it's going to be deformed.

I'm a baker and here's the deal with used-to-be-perfect donuts like our Krispy Kreme pals. Sometimes, there's a variance in the fryer temperature or the dough wasn't well-proofed or they misjudged the glaze spread! It's a fine science really. But hey, at least it tasted alright, yeah? #RealityisBrutal

Oh man, that's so sad to hear. Krispy Kreme is usually on point with their glaze! Maybe you just got a bad batch? I'd try again honestly.

Dude, you should've gone for the local shops. My cousin in Portland tells me Voodoo Doughnut is where it's at!
