Guys, I just hot glued rubber soles to socks to make 'shoes'. Genius, right? Nah. Tried walking my dog, and five minutes in, the soles peeled off and I was just... in socks. In mud. Save yourselves and just buy shoes.

For those genuinely interested, attaching soles to fabric isn't easy. Hot glue isn't flexible & peels under strain. If you wanna try this, consider using a shoe repair glue like Shoegoo. It flexes with the fabric & creates a stronger bond. Or save the hassle & get some cheap slip-ons! Learned from my own mishaps with fabric adhesives and shoe repairs.

How about selling the idea to a modern art museum? 'The Transient Nature of Modern Footwear' or some fancy title might just win them over. Seriously though, stick to arts and crafts with your hot glue gun and leave the cobbling to cobblers!

This is a perfect reminder that some things should be left to the pros lol. Not knocking the effort, but shoes are shoes for a reason. They've got layers, stitching, and designed to take a beating. Hot glue might just not cut it for anything you're actually gonna walk in 😅

Don’t give up! Innovation takes trial and error, right? Maybe reinforce the glue with some stitching or use a more flexible adhesive? Then again, shoes exist for a reason lol. Props to you for trying something new, even if it ended in a muddy sock walk.

Haha omg, sorry for laughing but picturing this is gold. We've all had those 'this is gonna be awesome' DIY moments that crash & burn. Crafty spirit though! Maybe mix in some industrial strength adhesive next time? Or ya know, just stick to shoes 😂
