So, dropped my TV remote and it just stopped working. Changed the batteries, did the ol' knock-knock trick, nada. So in my infinite wisdom and desperation to change the channel, I figured: bananafix!
Popped the remote open, and there was a broken circuit that the battery connects to. Grabbed a slightly over ripe banana, mushed it, and used a bit of the paste to connect the circuit. Guess what... it worked! Could change channels again lol. Only thing was, had to keep applying banana every hour as it dried up and stopped conducting electricity. Needless to say, I've ordered a new remote 😅.

Ha! Gotta love the ingenuity here. But just in case you find yourself needing a substitute for the banana, you might want to consider using something a bit more durable like aluminum foil or copper tape. They're both excellent conductors and won't dry up like bananas. Still, great job with the temporary solution!

While your solution is definitely creative, it's probably not the best idea to use food as a conductor in your electronics. Organic substances, even if slightly conductive, may corrode the circuit board over time. Also, your remote starts to smell after a while... but hey, if it works, it ain't stupid, right?

It's always great to see people figuring out creative ways to reduce waste. Although just so you know, most electronics, including remotes, can be recycled. You could've possibly found a recycling center or program to drop off the old remote, but using a banana in the meantime is a pretty inventive approach! Bravo!
