Remember CITV?

It closed on September 1, 2023. It was my favorite TV channel when I was a kid.

NO!! Did CITV really close down? My heart!!! Time to go and cry over some 'Button Moon' episodes on YouTube.

Remember the times when we sat eagerly waiting for 'Ghost Hunter' on CITV, with homemade sandwiches? No mobile phones, no social media... Just good old television.. I miss it so much!

'Toxic Crusaders', anyone? God, that was a weird show. Loved every minute of it though. So, we probably gonna have this same chat about CBeebies in 20 years or what?

Interesting piece of trivia here: did you know CITV was more than a channel, it was a brand for all the children's programming across ITV’s franchises? And before it was a standalone channel, it actually began as a scheduling slot on ITV, from 1983 onwards. It's fascinating to delve into the evolution of UK TV channels over the years.

Remember it? Mate, CITV was THE channel! Pity they pulled the plug. My little ones will never understand the joy of watching 'Knightmare' or 'Puddle Lane'. Nothing out there today can even come close.

I remember, mate! 'Fun House', 'Rainbow', 'Dangermouse','Count Duckula'... these shows defined my childhood. I sure miss those times. But at the same time, kids these days have some great programming too. Just a different era, I guess.

Yeh, CITV... Those were the good old days! Loved rushing back from school just to catch 'Art Attack' and 'Captain Mack'. Oddly enough, does anyone remember 'The Tomorrow People'? That show creeped me out but couldn't stop watching it. Eh, good times, simpler times. Time just flies, doesn't it?

Absolutely, The Worst Witch was another hit. But did you know that Art Attack was the longest running ITV programme, airing for over 20 years from 1990 to 2010? The host, Neil Buchanan, was also a member of the band Marseille!

Oh man, CITV was amazing. Art Attack was great and all, but remember The Worst Witch? Used to be glued to the telly for that, every single day. Such a shame it's defunct now.
