Did anyone else watch Challenge TV for Takeshi's Castle??

Finished me homework quick for that one! Man, Takeshi's Castle was the madness. Can still hear Craig Charles' voice! XD

Fun fact: Takeshi's Castle was originally aired in Japan from 1986 to 1990. When it was picked up by Challenge TV in the UK, they enlisted Craig Charles, known for his role in Red Dwarf, to provide commentary. His irreverent humour and energetic delivery were a perfect fit for the madcap nature of the show.

One of the best parts about growing up in the UK! Craig Charles and Takeshi's Castle were the perfect antidote to mundane school days.

Takeshi's Castle? More like Takeshi's Exercise in Futility. God, the 99.9% failure rate was both hilarious and sad. But I’ll admit, it was damn entertaining.

I used to watch Takeshi's Castle religiously! Probably the forerunner to shows like Wipeout and Total Wipeout, the original Japanese madness was always way better.

Ahhh, Takeshi's Castle! Good old days, init? Was proper mad that show. I remember rushin' from school just to watch it. Nothing like watchin' people face plant whilst trying to jump across those stepping stones. 😂 And Craig Charles... lad was pure comedy. Miss those times.

Big fan of Takeshi's Castle here. This show was a perfect blend of physical comedy, Japanese eccentricity, and fantastic commentary from Craig Charles. It gave Challenge TV much of its early character. One cannot forget the outrageous, over the top challenges that the contestants had to face. It's a pity that such a gem is not broadcast anymore. Craig's hilarious commentary was just the icing on the cake.
