Did defunct stores even exist? Prove it.

Do you guys actually have anything to show these stores existed, or is this just an old people's conspiracy? Pics or it didn't happen. Bet most of you can't even find a real pic of a Borders bookstore. It’s all just a figment of your nostalgia. 😜

Man the disrespect. Stores like Borders shaped a lot of our experiences growing up. If you want pics, check your local library's digital archives, sometimes they got photos of local businesses from back in the day. Borders was a sanctuary, it’s a real shame current gen won't experience it.

Bet I'm one of the 'old people' you're talking about. I've shopped at Borders so many times I couldn't count. I've got a load of photos from the grandkids' first book hauls, back-to-school shopping—it all happened there. I don't post pics online, but believe me, they were very real.

Have you not seen the tons of retro commercials on YouTube? There's like a goldmine of old store ads. I collect vintage store merch and trust me, there's a market. My collection has Circuit City, Blockbuster, and yes, Borders stuff. I can dm you a pic of my Borders coffee mug if you want proof.

Wow, next you'll be asking for evidence the earth is round. Ever heard of google, my dude? Also, 'old people conspiracy'? Seriously? Get outta here. Or maybe go ask someone at a Radio Shack—oh wait...

Just joined Reddit to relive the good old days. But seeing is believing, right? The wayback machine (internet archive) has some cool snapshots of websites. Try to look Borders up. You might even find their old website up!

haha, i used to think my dad was making up stories about buying music at a place called Tower Records until I found an old shopping bag in the basement with the logo. Man, it feels weird thinking stuff just vanished like that.

The existence of defunct stores like Borders is well-documented. I have several photos from my visits to various locations throughout the '90s and early 2000s. They were a haven for book lovers. Many public libraries have archives of local newspapers where you'll find ads and articles about these stores. Also, a quick search on Google or even eBay for Borders memorabilia could provide the 'proof' you're looking for.

Borders might be gone but the memories sure aren't! Dig a little on the internet and you'll find a bunch of pics – heck, even Flickr groups dedicated to old store pics. And if that's not enough, check out the old shopping malls. Some got those 'ghost' store fronts with the logos still on.
