lol @ people missing RadioShack

Seriously, every time I see someone crying over RadioShack being gone I'm like??? It was junk central. Overpriced cables and pushy salespeople. Learn to online shop, dinosaurs. It’s not rocket science. They died cuz they sucked, end of story. Don't @ me with nostalgia trippin', we’re better off without em.

I worked there in high school, and yeah, we were trained to upsell like mad. But you also get people coming in with the weirdest tech problems and you'd learn a lot helping them out. Plus, RadioShack had some decent starter kits that got kids into electronics. Wasn't all bad.

Everyone knows you don't buy cables at full retail price. You'd wait for those clearance sales and score. That was the real trick with RadioShack. Plus, some of us like to touch and feel stuff before we buy, not just click and pray it's the right thing.

They sucked and deserved the boot, no question. Overpriced is an understatement. Still, the empty store fronts are kind of a bummer to see.

For real, tho, not everyone is all about that online life. What's wrong with a bit of nostalgia? It's not always about the cheapest price. It's where you went with your grandpa to get parts for your first radio kit. Those are the memories that are worth more than a few bucks saved, IMO.

Sure, RadioShack had its issues, but you're overlooking the community aspect they provided. It was a hub for hobbyists, and the staff often actually knew their stuff, could give advice on projects. That's rare. It's not just about being able to shop online; it's about having a go-to place with a community vibe that doesn't really exist anymore.

Lmao, RadioShack had it coming, but you gotta admit, it was kinda convenient for quick battery runs or if you needed a cable in a pinch and didn't wanna wait for shipping. Plus, not everyone is tech-savvy. Some folks liked the in-person help, however pushy it might’ve been.

Lol true, can't argue with overpriced cables, but there's something sad about losing even the lame stores. Like, less diversity in where we can shop now, yk?

I get ur point about the prices n sales tactics, but RadioShack was more than that for some of us. It was THE spot to find electronic components when you're midway through a project and realize you're one resistor short. Yeah, we have online now, but sometimes you wanna just walk in, grab what you need, and dive back into your project. Instant gratification, ya know? Plus, for those of us who grew up with it, there's just something about the place, smells like flux and nostalgia. It's not just the products, it's the memories.
