Does anybody remember TCC

Or should I say, The Children's Channel. They aired all preschool shows here. They began in 1984 and closed forever in 1998.

3 AM thoughts: Whatever happened to the puppeteer from the shows on TCC? 🤔

Just a fun fact, TCC was actually the first channel in the UK to be dedicated to kids’ programming 24/7. Before that, there was just children's programming hours on regular channels. Of course, after its closure, there wasn’t another 24/7 kids' programming channel till Nickelodeon launched its own 'full-time' service. Ah, the history of tv…

TCC, the reason why TV is so bad now. They set the bar too high and nobody's reached it since. All silly nonsense now.

TCC? Nah mate, that's well before my time. I remember the other TCC better anyway... 'The Cartoon Channel!' Looney Tunes all the way, baby! 🐰🦆

Absolutely loved TCC! Grew up on it. Think the reason I remember it so well was because it closed just as I was growing out of it, leaving me with the fondest of memories. Had some of my favourite shows then. Do you remember Eureeka's Castle? That was my jam!

I was very little when it shut down. My brother always talks about this channel though! Seemed to be better than the weird stuff CBeebies play now lol.

Oh, The Children's Channel, those were the days. Nothing like the stuff they show to kids nowadays. All that classic stuff, and no device in sight, just a good old fashioned TV set! I still have a theme song from one of the shows stuck in my mind! 🎶😂

Yup, I remember TCC. Great channel! Got a whole stash of old recordings from TCC on my YouTube channel if anyone's interested. It's a joy to see these shows again 📺👍
