CBBC these days...tzzz...

Just been watching CBBC with my niece. What the heck happened to good cartoons?! Everything's so PC and sanitized, not an iota of fun... CBeebies is even worse. Not even close to what we had back in the day. Rant over.

Coming from a television producer, children's television has evolved over the years to be more than just about fun. Sure, the storytelling might seem more sanitized now, but it's also more meaningful. There's a significant focus on not only entertaining children but also imparting meaningful lessons, and promoting inclusivity, diversity, and kindness. This is a reflection of the world we currently live in, and in many ways, it's better than some of the stuff we were exposed to in our younger days.

Honestly, I cannot agree with you. I love the PC content more. It's about time we raised kids with shows that reflect the world as it is, inclusive and diverse. There's still loads of cool, fun and educating stuff on CBBC and CBeebies.

Sure, I get the nostalgia, it's always powerful. But there are some cool modern animations around. Like, have you checked out 'The Next Step'? It's got some cool dance choreography! Or even 'Jamie Johnson' has some pretty neat football action! But I agree, it ain't what it used to be...

Yeah those 80s and 90s cartoons were the real deal! Miss 'em, but let's appreciate some of the good stuff we have now too. Evergreen vs. Evolution I say.

Animation nerd here. While I get your point, you gotta understand things change, mate. Children's programming has to evolve with time, follow certain regulations. These shows now focus on imparting values like inclusivity, diversity, teaching 'em young to be good humans. But the old ones were surely fun too!

Parent here. Not gonna lie, even I enjoy CBeebies with my kid - relaxing. Guess it's just us adapting to new things. They have some good educational content tho.
