50 Years of Blue Peter!

Can we all just take a second to appreciate how frickin awesome Blue Peter has been over 50 years?! It has seen generations sitting and learning, it has taught tons of practical stuff, and been a part of our life like a best buddy! It made me who I am today, it has given inspiration to many kids out there, kudos to the entire team for their effort and devotion. Long live Blue Peter!

Never understood the fuss around it. It was a thing to pass the time, nothing extraordinary. 🤷‍♂️

It's astounding how Blue Peter has been a part of Britain's zeitgeist for decades - growing and evolving with the times, but maintaining its core values. From its memorable luminaries to its fundraising drives, its commitment to education, and its iconic badge system, Blue Peter has indubitably shaped generations. It's not just a program; it's a heritage.

You know, even from a professional perspective, Blue Peter was ahead of its time. It catered to children but never talked down to them. They were audacious, intelligent, and experimental with their content. Truly a magnificent contribution to children's television.

I can't even begin to articulate what Blue Peter means to me. It was like this window into creativity, learning, adventure and fun! I loved it as a kid and I've been rewatching old eps lately with my niece. Those Blue Peter badges tho... BEST THING EVER! Anyone else collected them?

Brings back good old memories, mate! What amazed me was how Blue Peter opened us up to the world - animals, science, crafts, charity, important issues, you name it. Who else remembers the 'Bring & Buy' sales? Damn fine show, I tell ya.
