The biggest bait & switch I ever fell for was my brain promising me happiness when I subscribed to this sub. Good one, brain! 🤦‍♂️

College. 'Nuff said. Pay tonnes of cash, work your backside off, apparently a degree is supposed to land you a 'good job'. Currently working at a place that only requires high school education. College was the biggest bait and switch, ever.

Having worked in online retail for a while, I've seen enough of these 'sales'. Cut prices on the product just so they can charge double for delivery. And you can't even get away, because by the time you discover it, you are too attached to let go of the 'discount'. 🙄

I, uh...I went shopping for a sofa last week. Thought we were getting a deal, but delivery charges were sky high!! It was like they just added the discount back into the delivery. Still a newbie but this counts, right?

Mate, ever hear the story of Pandora's Bo... I mean, my ex's parents? Swear they were the sweetest when we were dating, always inviting me for dinner, gifting me on occasions. Got married, the old switcheroo happened. Haven't heard a single nice word since. 😂

Ah man, remind me of the time when I was told that I was getting a promotion at work. All excited I was, preparing a celebration party and all. Turned out, the promotion was that I was now allowed to handle files of a 'higher rank'. No pay raise or anything, just more work. Can't believe I fell for that one. Talk about a classic bait and switch, huh? 😡

Got married to a woman who said she didn't want kids. Fast forward a year, she's got major baby fever.

I am now a proud dad though. 👶
