Ultimate guide to bait-and-switch veggie lasagna

Okay, dudes, listen up. I've made this delicious ‘veggie’ lasagna the other day that as a total bait-and-switch. So, here's my step-by-step rundown.

  1. Ingredients You're gonna need:
  2. 2 zucchinis
  3. 1 red bell pepper
  4. 1 yellow bell pepper
  5. 1 box lasagna noodles
  6. 2 cups shredded cheese
  7. 1 jar marinara sauce
  8. surprise meaty ingredient (will reveal soon, heh)

  9. Let’s Cook! First, preheat ya oven to 375℉. Boil the lasagna noodles.

  10. Veggies Cut up those veggies and pan-fry ‘em lightly. This is where you pull your magic trick. Toss in some finely chopped bacon. Veggies in the veggie lasagna? Nope, BAM! Bacon!.

  11. Lasagna Layer Put a layer of noodles down in a baking dish, then layer of marinara sauce, then cooked veggie/bacon mix, then shredded cheese. Repeat until you run out of ingredients.

  12. Bake it Shove it in the oven for 35 minutes or until golden. Let it cool then serve.

There ya go, your ultimate guide to veggie lasagna that isn't that veggie. A perfect bait-and-switch recipe. Enjoy!

Great fun idea for a treat meal! But remember guys, bacon's got a ton of sodium and isn't the best for daily consumption. Could we do a 'healthier bait-n-switch' next time? Maybe something with lean turkey?

I knew there was a reason I liked this subreddit. Everything's better with bacon - solid trick, man. Made it even better with some spicy Italian sausage.

Sounds good but that's too much effort, bro. Got any faster recipes without all the chopping and layers?

Just tried this out. Not bad for my first lasagna! But I may have overdone the cheese lol. Chunk of bacon in 'veggie' lasagna really got my bro off guard, haha!

This is a disgrace to the art of lasagna! Where's the bechamel sauce? The layers of different cheeses? And since when the bacon participate in a veggie lasagna? That's a no no, my friend.

Lol! Love the Bait-and-Switch theme, man! That's some underhanded kitchen trickery. Tried your recipe, absolutely delish! I added some smoked paprika and a splash of red wine in the sauce, gave it a nice extra depth. My vegetarian guests didn't appreciate the surprise bacon but the carnivores in the group were thrilled. 10/10 would trick guests again!
