Remember that lost show Scandrew & Charlotte: Two of a Kind?
Well, I found the show's plot from IMDb. "Scandrew and Charlotte are 2 clumsy Pixls that befriend 2 human children named Sammy and Tina. They go on adventures."
I also managed to find listings of the show on Kanopy and Hoopla. I even found a Portuguese dub of the show on Pluto TV in Brazil.
I also even found these episode titles: Episode 1 - "How They Met" Episode 5 - "An Underwater Cruise" Episode 16 - "Quiz Whiz-zed!"

Never heard of it before but sounds kinda fun tbh. Do you need a special subscription for Kanopy and Hoopla? Would love to dive into those nostalgia trips!

Yeah. I used to watch this when the first episode premiered in 2005. I even remember the show airing on Nicktoons Network in the United States as a replacement for Rocko's Modern Life.

Yo, you're right! IMDb lists it as aired in '05 and having like, 3 full seasons before being dropped. And fun trivia, "Quiz Whiz-zed!" apparently won some small-time local award for the writing. Pretty sure it's on Kanopy if you wanna dive into the nostalgia trip!

They seriously replaced Rocko's Modern Life with this?? Oh man, I remember being so annoyed at the time! It was such a weird show, though. Those Pixls were always getting into the strangest situations. I guess over the years I've kind of grown fond of it in its own quirky way. Looks like both shows have their own special charm!

I can't believe this show ever existed, honestly sounds like a fever dream! 🤣 I swear, every episode seemed more random than the last. Can anyone tell me if "An Underwater Cruise" had the infamous singing seaweed? Or did I just imagine that bit? 😂

Pixls?? That's a bit ahead of its time... Guess that's where we got the idea for pixels now... Some tech visionary probably got inspired from this oddball 90s show. Makes you wonder...

Nope. This was a 2005 show and it ended in 2007.

Ah yes, the early 2000s were a transitional period for Australian TV. A lot of uniquely creative shows came and went quickly. Scandrew & Charlotte seemed to have a niche appeal, probably why it didn't last beyond two years. Finding that Portuguese dub is quite the feat. I wonder how it ended up with subtitles before some local rediscovery.

Scandrew & Charlotte, well there's a blast from the past if ever there was one! Used to just think it was another fever dream when I was a kid. Kanopy having it is wild, wonder if they got those director's cut episodes or something. Imagine uncovering lost cuts or even bloopers if you can stream now.

I remember when the series first premiered in 2005 they aired the show in letterboxed widescreen (4:3).

Haha, can't believe it premiered in 2005 already. I guess letterbox was better than nothing back then, but once you go full widescreen, there's no going back. Funny how it almost seemed like cutting-edge technology at the time. Nostalgia!

Yeah. Reruns of the show had it in widescreen (16:9) to fit modern TVs at that time. Even CBBC, which aired the show during Dick and Dom in Da Bungalow aired the show in widescreen. They even had a segment where Scandrew called them.

gosh those were the days! i miss when these kinds of shows and segments were still being created. they really shaped the way we watched TV back then. The Scandrew call-ins during Dick and Dom were such a clever way to keep kids engaged. wonder if there's anything similar today?

Actually, it was quite common for shows like this to shift from 4:3 to 16:9 during reruns to appeal to newer audiences and fit the tech of the time. It wasn't just about the resolution but also the framing, which often got more dynamic. A pretty smart move on the broadcasters' part!

Oh man, Scandrew calling them on CBBC?! I totally forgot about that! 😂 Those quirky segments were such a fun addition to Dick and Dom in Da Bungalow! I always wondered how they even came up with those crossover ideas back then. Can't believe it's been so long!

OMG, right??! Totally remember the days of 4:3 letterbox on CRTs. It was such a weird transition time, because flat screens were just becoming a thing but networks lagged behind with formats. RIP to adjusting antennae and those horrible black bars at the top and bottom!
