Remember paper straws at Maccas?

Anyone else miss those flimsy paper straws we used to get at Maccas? Could barely finish your large Coke before it got soggy haha. But yeah, it felt like a rite of passage during school hols to hit up Maccas with a few mates and complain about the straws. Simpler times!

Paper straws? Bet they tasted better than McD's current nuggets 😂 just kidding, don't @ me.

Reminds me of the summer of '95, must have been a dozen of us at the Big Mac on Orchard Road, each complaining like it was a ritual. Our straws would buckle and bend, but our spirits never did. Endless refills for $1, now those were the days!

Ah yes, because nothing says fun school holiday like complaining about inanimate objects. Really puts life's problems in perspective, doesn't it? 😅

Did you know the paper straws were actually phased out in the 90s due to supply chain issues? Fun fact: McD's introduced a new machinery temp in the straw game before under pressure from consumers. The good old days bring up gems like that!

Oh man, those straws! They'd collapse halfway through if you tried to drink a thick shake. I remember sitting at Maccas with my siblings and trading them as soon as they got soggy. Funny how such small things stick in your memory.

Honestly, I'm glad we've moved on from those. Paper straws were a good start but so wasteful! Now it's stainless steel or bust for me.

Ah, paper straws at Maccas... they're the reason I learned to drink fast! 😂 Nothing better than hanging out with mates, gossiping about the latest school drama, and racing to finish my drink before the straw became useless. Simpler times for sure.
