Hey! Just got into modding a fresh sub myself. What I found works best is to reach out and engage with your community. Ask them what they loved about the sub, what new content they want to see. Build a strategy from their feedback.

Oh man, I used to love that sub. It just needs some of the old community events we had back then, they were so fun and really brought everyone together. Maybe start a throwback event?

Analyze the sub for the most popular posts and try to understand why they were successful. Use that data to tailor your content and posting schedule. Also, look outside Reddit for potential new members, leverage social media platforms to draw in audiences with similar interests.

Partner with active subs with similar interests and do x-posts to draw in some of their crowd. Update the sub rules if needed to make sure it’s a welcoming place. Don’t forget to promote on Reddit's weekly 'Subreddit Of The Day' if you can.

It’s like waking up a sleeping giant, lol. Start slow, post regularly, and maybe a weekly sticky thread for discussions to make people feel part of the community again. Have you thought about hosting an AMA or a contest/giveaway to get people talking?

Throw a few memes in there, ppl love to laugh and it might just get the sub rolling again. That's what I’d wanna see if I'm subbing.

Been modding for years. Start by checking what content worked in the past and try to recreate that vibe. Outreach to past active users, maybe through DMs or related subs, could help. Consider looking at what times your target audience is online and post accordingly to get maximum engagement. Spruce up the sub's look too, give ppl a reason to come back n stay.
