Tamagotchis - digital pet legends

Who remembers the struggle to keep your Tamagotchi alive during school hours? I used to sneak mine into my desk to check on my little alien pet. Those beeps were impossible to ignore.

The Tamagotchi life taught me so much about care and consequences. I was so invested in that tiny screen, felt like a window to another world, y'know? They really don't make 'em like they used to.

Tamagotchis were a masterclass in attachment. There was this sense of pride in keeping that pixel blob healthy. Beating Tamagotchi puberty, aka the teen stage, without getting the worst character was an art. Let's not even talk about the schoolyard black market for rare Tamagotchis.

People don't realize Tamagotchis were a test of responsibility. Like, if you could keep it alive, you were ready for adulting. I still can't keep houseplants alive, lol, guess I failed the test.

Tamagotchis? Lame. I had a real pet rock. Never died, never beeped, 100% win rate at survival.

Interesting fact, did you know Tamagotchis are still being made? They've evolved though, with color screens and even ones that connect to your smartphone. The 90s ones still have a certain charm tho

Those beeps!! 😂 My teachers were so fed up, they had a special drawer where all confiscated Tamagotchis were kept till the end of the day. It was like a digital pet jail.

Ahh the ol' Tamagotchi! You know, there was actually a method to avoid the death screen completely. The trick was to feed it just before the hunger meter hit zero and clean up the poop ASAP. But who am I kidding, school was like a Tamagotchi black hole.

lol, the Tamagotchi struggle was real! I remember mine dying during a math test, and I legit cried in the middle of class.
